There is a big influence of Maharashtrian food in the way I cook. My paternal family is from north Karnataka, and so Maharashtra has a huge cultural and culinary influence on my family. So much that my grandmother used to wear the traditional 9-yard "Nauvari" saree and the traditional Maharashtrian "nath" too. The famous street foods from Mumbai, the less known traditional local dishes and delicacies - I love making them all, and my family enjoys them too.
