About this recipe

Chia seeds are considered a superfood containing an amazing variety of nutrients while at the same time has very few calories. They are an excellent source of omega 3, antioxidants, high-quality protein, beneficial fiber, calcium, and other essential minerals and vitamins.

The measurement is pretty straightforward. To replace one egg, use one tablespoon chia seeds. Combine one tablespoon chia seeds with three tablespoons of water, and let it sit. It is that simple! You can replace it with eggs in most of the recipes. But remember that it does not bind as well as eggs do or set as firmly as eggs do once baked. So while they work very well for pancakes, waffles, or cookies, they may not work for some bakes where binding is very essential.

They are a great replacement for eggs in baking. I have replaced them in cookies and cakes and they work so well. And adds a great nutty taste to them too. Try them next time you are baking and I am sure you will love it.
