Amaranth green stir fry – healthy, nutritious dish that is ready in less than 15 minutes
Potato fry – thin potato wedges rubbed with turmeric and salt, and fried
Okra fry – slices of okra or bhindi shallow fried and seasoned with salt
Eggplant fry – also called begun bhaja, round slices of eggplant rubbed with turmeric and salt, and shallow fried
Kachumber salad – chopped cucumber, tomatoes, onion in lemon juice, salt, chilli powder dressing

Majjige huli – yogurt based bottle gourd curry (placed outside the plate)
