Heat oil. Add whole spices

Add sliced onions and fry till translucent

Add ginger, garlic paste

Saute till raw smell of ginger garlic goes away

Add beetroot

Add potatoes and powdered spices. Fry for 2-3 minutes

Add soaked rice, peas, salt

Add 2.5 cups water. Bring to boil

Cover and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes till rice is cooked

Turn off heat. Gently mix. Garnish with coriander leaves

Serve Hot
