Cabbage palya is a simple Karnataka style cabbage preparation that is served as a side dish. This healthy and easy-to-make dish uses minimal spices and is perfect for a weekday lunch/dinner as it pairs very well with both rice and roti.

Ingredients

Finely shred cabbage

Prepare tempering. Add soaked green moong with little water. Cook covered for 10 minutes.

Add cabbage and mix well

Cook till cabbage is done. Do not cover while cooking cabbage. Cabbage should still have a slight crunch

Increase heat and dry excess moisture. Garnish with grated coconut, lemon juice and coriander leaves

Serve hot
