Combine egg yolks with lemon zest and ¼ cup sugar. Mix well

Add cardamom powder and baking powder. Mix well

Gradually add the almond flour and keep mixing until all the almond flour is incorporated

Mixture resembles a thick paste

Beat egg whites till frothy. Add salt and vinegar

Add sugar and beat till soft peaks are formed

Gently fold egg whites into the almond mixture

Pour the mixture into prepared cake tin

Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes

Cool on a wire rack
