Heat oil. Add cumin seeds and bay leaves

Add onion. Saute

Add ginger, garlic, and green chilli

Add tomatoes

Add coriander, cumin and red chilli powders

Cook till oil starts to release

Add soaked chana dal

Add bottle gourd and water

Chana dal and bottle gourd fully cooked

Add garam masala, coriander leaves, and lemon juice

Serve hot
