Ingredients for making palak sambar

Cook toor dal, brown chickpeas, onion, garlic, tomato ...

and palak (spinach) in a pressure cooker

Grind sambar powder and coconut into a smooth paste

Add the paste to the boiled dal, along with salt, tamarind extract and jaggery 

Simmer for 15 minutes

Prepare tempering

Pour tempering on Sambar

Palak Sambar is ready

Serve with steamed rice and vegetables
