Ingredients

Dry roast mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry red chilli, and curry leaves

Grind into a fine powder

Add raw mango, coconut, and jaggery

Grind into a smooth paste

Fry peanuts till crunchy. Set aside.

Fry mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, urad dal, chana dal

Add the ground paste, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook till the spices are done

Add fried peanuts and mix well

Add cooked rice. The rice should be well done but not mushy. Basmati rice works well in this dish.  

Mix gently taking care not to break the rice

Add coriander leaves and mix

Serve hot
